You Don't Know Me

This song was written by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker in 1955. I'm sure I heard it once in awhile over the years (my parents like Eddy Arnold and other artists have covered it), but it didn't catch my attention until I heard it on an album by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, a native Hawaiian singer and ukulele player. His albums are really good - unfortunately, there won't be any new recordings, since he passed away in 1997 at the age of 38. Check him out on Amazon.
I don't have any Eddy Arnold recordings, so who knows how my version ended up being different... It's not a tough song to play, and the recording went pretty fast. I added a few measures to the middle, starting with "For I never knew..." up until the chord change right before "Afraid and shy...". It sounded better to me, giving each chord a full measure. Whatever. I think it came out pretty decent.
Voices: Piano, Drums, Clarinet, Strings, Acoustic Bass.
