You won't see me

I don't think Ringo ever did it, but I put in a drum intro. I should listen to these songs first, instead of playing them from memory, but it's a sad tale. I have the entire Beatles collection on cassette tape, but we no longer have a tape player in the house. I'm going to buy a cheap tape player and record the output in my computer. This takes time, and it is not going to be finished soon, so for now I'll just wing it (band on the run).

I always appreciated this song's lyrics, and I particularly like the last verse:

Though the days are few, they're filled with tears
And since I lost you, it feels like years
Yes, it seems so long
Girl, since you've been gone
And I just can't go on...
(Copyright Lennon and McCartney)

This is an easy song to play, and the recording was finished pretty quickly. I added strings (instead of a guitar) to accompany the piano. I spent the most time on the "oh-la-la-la" background vocals, and I finally gave up. The ending sounds weak, mostly because my voice couldn't make the grade. One hour past my bedtime, I decided that it didn't sound as bad as all that. This morning, I'm not so sure.

Voices: Piano, Strings, Picked Bass, Drums
