Tea for the Tillerman is a great album. This song is the third one I've attempted from that album; Wild World and Father & Son are the others. Fairly simple songs with a lot going on (in the original recordings). One thing is becoming crystal clear to me - my voice isn't quite up to the challenge. Listening to the original, you hear his voice is smooth and natural. Maybe I could sing like that once upon a time, but no longer. To top it off, I've had a cold for the last 10 days that is almost but not quite gone. Yeah, that's the reason - I have a cold. Not.
He had a few snippets of guitar in the original recording, which I've ignored.
