For no one

This is the first song I learned to play on the piano. I'm a big Beatles fan. When I first heard it in 1966, my phonograph needle was bent and it was only picking up one half of the music. Since the horn was recorded on a track from the other side, I never heard it. Later on, I wondered where the horn came from.
I recorded this from memory, not listening to the original until I needed to figure out the horn part. I realized that I had slowed down the pace of the song over the years. I play this song in C, but it sounds like it was recorded in B. I've heard that the original piano was slightly out of tune, and that the song is really recorded in the crack between B and C. That makes sense, because I can't imagine Paul writing and playing a song in B when it is so easy to play (on the piano) in C. I think he played it as I do, but it came out sounding slightly lower. I transposed the midi files to switch the key from C to B in order to match the Beatles' version. Cool.
They don't mention the type of horn used in the song; I picked a trumpet for the simple reason that it sounds OK.
