This School Transportation Command Central software package is available, free of charge, to all schools and school boards for their use in helping to manage the complex job of providing transportation to school children. The software is compact and efficient, runs on Win9x personal computers, is fully network ready, is easy to learn and use, is easy to remove from your system (why would you want to do that?), and... it is free. The software is not a time limited version, and it doesn't have any features disabled. It runs on a local area network or on a single computer. Why is it free? Schools have a perpetual shortage of funds, and at the same time, they have a complex task to manage: transporting students to and from school. How do they coordinate their schedules with Bus Contractors? How can they track student needs (often, special needs)? With little money in the budget, many school systems try to manage the work manually. This software might help with the problem. What's the catch? Only one catch: no telephone support is available. Technical support is limited to email and the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page on this web site. With both contextual (what's this? type) help and a standard help file, the software is easy to use - email help is up to the task. How do I get the software? Download it here (1.7 MB file size). After you get the software, run the Install file (called stccinst.exe) and set up the software. An UnInstall program is included, in case you no longer need the software on your system. Sample data is included, which illustrates how the software works; the sample data is easily removed, allowing you to "go live" (see the FAQ page). |

![]() The software organizes Schools, Bus Contractors (including the School District's own personnel and equipment), Students and School Runs. There is no practical limit to the number of records you can track, and the software works just as well for systems with 1 school and 20 students as it does for systems with dozens of schools and thousands of students. ![]() The software lets you look up critical information quickly and easily, and the included reports are both practical and flexible. ![]() Download the software and give it a try. You'll find that it organizes a complex process without being complex. You'll be able to print reports and send them to your Bus Contractors as changes are made, eliminating the confusion that comes with a manual system. With the proper fax software (available elsewhere), you can even "print" the report to your fax modem (modem not included), automatically sending the report to the Contractor. Note: Due to large demand for this software, the download process is often busy. If you experience any delays, please be patient - continue to try to download the software, perhaps at another time later in the day. Also be patient when emailing us for support. Be sure to check the FAQ page to see if your question has already been asked and answered. You may experience some delay in hearing back from us, due to the volume of email we receive, as well as our need to devote time to other (paying) tasks. |
